A Place to Call Home: Why Coldwell Banker Burnet Supports Hammer

Coldwell Banker Burnet is pleased to support Hammer’s Reach for Ralph event.

As Realtors, we know the importance of “home” and giving back to the community. Working with organizations like Hammer Residences allows us to help make a difference in the communities we serve. Our CEO Joe Reis serves on their board and has been volunteering with Hammer for more than 20 years. He passionately believes in Hammer’s mission to provide adults and children with developmental disabilities the opportunity to experience life to its fullest.

Joe has formed friendships with many Hammer residents including Mickey, Mark, Sarah, Don and Kevin. Joe, his wife Kathy and their daughters have made Hammer part of their family and view it as a blessing. Joe and Kathy were honored at Hammer’s Annual Meeting in April with the Community Partner Award for their meaningful contributions over many years.

“I agree with Hammer’s philosophy,” says Joe. “I’ve been impressed and touched by the dedication of so many of their leaders and direct care professionals. Hammer is truly a place for many to call home.”

Helping people find a place to call home is the business of Coldwell Banker Burnet. Giving back to the community has also become part of its business culture. The company mission statement includes the language: Positive Experiences for our Customers and Communities. With community support in mind, the company created the Coldwell Banker Burnet Foundation to support housing-related needs of people at all stages of life in the communities we serve.

Various programs the company has engaged in over the years have created many positive experiences for children and families in need. Hammer is one of many worthwhile organizations that receive support from Coldwell Banker Burnet. “Because we live and work in these communities, it makes sense to give back and support organizations that help those in need,” Joe added.

Hammer’s Reach for Ralph event serves a reminder to all of us the message of hope, perseverance and kindness. We encourage everyone to take a look at Hammer and the fabulous work it does.
