Each month, we will recognize two DSPs of the Month as well as a Program Manager of the Month. We are thankful for all the ways they bring the best of themselves to those they support and their colleagues. Please join us in celebrating them:
November DSPs of the Month:
Oluwatimilehin (Timi) Daramola & Ervin Yango

Timi
Oluwatimilehin (Timi) Daramola [Sheridan & Queensland] – Timi does an excellent job at both of the homes he works at as part of his regular schedule, Sheridan and Queensland, and he is adored by the people supported at both of these homes! Timi makes a point to take people out in the community and spend quality time while doing activities that are important to them, and he goes above and beyond on a regular basis. Timi never fails to complete tasks around the homes that he works at with enthusiasm, and he is considered to be an invaluable member of both staff teams that he is part of. Congrats, Timi!

Ervin
Ervin Yango [Kentucky] – Ervin constantly exhibits a high-level of performance when caring for the people we support at Kentucky! Ervin is considered an extremely reliable staff, and he has the uncommon gift of being a remarkable problem-solver when needed. Ervin has everyone’s absolute trust to complete any and all job duties that are needed, with no additional oversight necessary, and he will also take on a multitude of helpful tasks without needing to be asked or assigned to do so. Congrats, Ervin!
November Program Manager of the Month: Eliaichi (Elly) Emmanuel [Norway]

Elly
Since becoming the Program Manager at Norway, Elly has transformed this program into an organized and efficient home that takes great care of the men and women who live here! Not only does Elly facilitate an environment that ensures the health and safety needs are met for each person, but she also makes sure that person-centeredness is at the forefront, as she takes special care to respect each person’s own choices, preferences, etc. Elly is respected and admired by all at Norway, and this is a direct result of her positivity, reliability, and ability to create such a supportive culture at the home. Elly is regularly proactive in her approach – one example being that she will reach out to staff who pick up shifts at Norway ahead of time to provide clear expectations and training as needed in order to ensure a successful shift (for both the staff person and the people that live at Norway!). Simply put, Elly goes the extra mile on a consistent basis, and she truly deserves the honor of “PM of the Month.” Congratulations, Elly!
