Cindi Laurent is one of our Hammer Community Partner Award recipients and a volunteer extraordinaire. Cindi has been volunteering with Hammer since 2015 and has accrued over 1,000 hours of service! Cindi is Carol’s one on one volunteer. They have enjoyed doing many things together, including attending Disney on Ice.

Not only does Cindi have a wonderful friendship with Carol, she also is a Hammer Travel volunteer. Cindi has gone on over four trips, helping those with a developmental disability experience exciting adventures. And there is more! Cindi is a Hammer Thank You Ambassador for our Development department, and a Special Event volunteer. You may have met her when you attended Reach for Ralph. She has been at the Guest Registration table for the past three years.

And finally, Cindi and her family have volunteered at our annual Family Day Picnic for the last three years and helped serve at last year’s Hammer Thanksgiving.

To acknowledge Cindi and her volunteer efforts, she and Carol’s friendship are featured in the HandsOn Twin Cities Top 100 Volunteers book for their 100 Anniversary Celebration, published this month.  Thank you Cindi for your dedication and commitment to Carol and to Hammer.
