Make a Plan to Vote!

Voting is an Important Right!

All eligible individuals are encouraged to vote, either early or on Election Day, Tuesday, November 5.

To vote you must be:

If you need to register to vote:

  • If you never voted before, you can register in advance at the link below or on election day at the polling place if you bring your State issued ID, driver’s license or student ID card and a bill (phone, internet, utilities, etc. that includes your name and address)
  • If you moved since you last voted or the address on your ID does not match where you live, you may want to register early to ensure your vote is cast and counted by Election Day.

The link to verify that you are registered, or to register, is: Minnesota Secretary Of State – Register To Vote

Questions?

If you or someone you know has a question about the policies of the candidates on their ballot, a good, equal resource is the League of Women Voters – Minnesota.  They are a respected organization that only shares policy information provided directly from the candidates.  If you, or someone you are assisting, has questions, the web site is: https://www.vote411.org/lwvmn

The site allows you to enter an address, then it includes information from most of the candidates on your ballot.

If you need assistance with registration, getting a ballot or getting to the polls, contact Mike Siebenaler, Director of Advocacy, at Michael.siebenaler@hammer.org or (612) 772-3825.
