Have Fun While Raising Money for a Good Cause

Join former Twins players LaTroy Hawkins and Glen Perkins for a day filled with pickleball, music, games, and enjoyment, all while raising funds for Hammer & NER. Community holds great significance for us, and we extend an invitation for you to become a part of ours! By participating in this event, not only can you join our community, but you can also contribute to improving the lives of the individuals we support on a daily basis.

A Pickleball Social to Support Hammer & NER

Hammer & NER’s mission is to provide people with intellectual and other disabilities the opportunity to live life to its fullest in our homes, apartments, and with our case management and care coordination services. We fulfill our mission daily by helping the people we support live meaningful and self-directed lives.

Schedule of Events:

  • 1-3pm: Pickleball mini-games and Challenge the PikNinja Pros (First come, First to play) 
  • 2-3pm: Sandwiches provided by Egg on a Roll, Charcuterie board and Hor D’ Oeuvres from Breizh Kitchen
  • 3-4pm: Exhibition match with LaTroy Hawkins, Glen Perkins and the PikNinja pros
  • 4pm: Live music by Jenna Graves and the Loons (Haralson Room) and Pickleball Open Play (Back Courts)
  • 4:45pm: Announcements and Thank You to our sponsors 
  • 5:00pm Silent Auction Closes and Jenna Graves and the Loons (second set)

Light bites will be served. Cash bar for ciders, cocktails sandwiches, and their famous Crepes. The Cidery welcomes folks of all ages, seven days a week for handcrafted food, cider, cocktails, and pickleball. It is centrally located in the heart of Minneapolis’ Marcy Holmes Neighborhood, easy to find by car, bike, or foot.

Pickleball Social “Challenge the Pros”

We will have one court where attendees can “Challenge the Pros” and we’ll have two PikNinja players there to play a quick game with whoever wants to play. Learn more about PikNinja at pikninja.com.
