Chan's Story

It takes people like YOU to make Hammer a special place.

THANK YOU!

Day 365 of Quarantine and Still Smiling Because of You!

Every day, all day, the caregivers at Hammer are challenged to create meaningful activities for people with development disabilities who often don’t understand how scary this has been.

Your gift to Hammer helps people, like Chan pictured here with his housemates, stay safe and engaged during the pandemic. Will you help keep Hammer special?

Chan communicates well, without words. When you take the time to get to know him, you can tell what he’s feeling through his eyes, gestures and his emotions. He builds unspoken connections with his caregivers. He loves to be with others. Activities help him connect with people. Through it all, Chan always has a smile on his face.

Peggy and Chris, Chan’s parents recently shared Chan’s story. Chan Man, as they like to call him has lived a full life and will continue to do so with your help. Read Chan’s Story here.
