]]> Each November, we celebrate National ‘Good Nutrition’ Month. At Hammer, we see this as an opportunity to bolster our community’s efforts to eat healthier, to try different recipes with a focus on nutrition, and to share inspiring (and creative!) videos of our homes encouraging each other to eat better.

That’s why Hammer instituted an organization-wide contest to submit videos of our homes eating – and preparing – healthy meals this past August. Further supporting our Healthy Living Initiative, these entertaining videos (see below) offer evidence of our homes working together to stay fit and eat well. Thanks to all the creative Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) and their eager actors for your resourcefulness and imagination in sharing some truly inspiring videos.

Here’s what we need from you: vote now for one of the TOP 3 VIDEO FINALISTS. Let yourself be entertained and inspired, and help us identify the winning Hammer video. Voting begins today and is open through 12 noon on Monday, November 18. Your votes matter as the winning video receives a catered meal for his/her entire house! Please support our efforts to keep individuals with developmental disabilities happy and healthy by voting today.
